‘so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.  Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.’
Corinthians 12 25-27

Silver Stories

Wonderfully simple but with the most incredibly positive impact for both Silver Listeners and Silver Readers.

4 of our Year 5 children (known as Silver Readers) telephone a Silver Listener every week and then read a short story to them. Our Silver Listeners are part of our wider Christian community in Welton.

This not only helps the children to become more confident in their reading skills but also links our children to the older members of our communities and helps diminish their chances of feeling isolated.

working as a volunteer at Wsm

Our school community extends beyond the school gates. We work closely with different groups and organisations – local and international; all working together with shared values  to build a community which cares, embraces diversity and can thrive.

If you would like to volunteer any spare time that you have to work with the children, share your expertise and support our curriculum we would love to hear from you.
