Rhino

Autumn Term 2018 To begin our studies in Year 4, Rhino Class will be learning all about rivers and mountains, researching where they are located, how they are created and why many towns and cities are located near rivers. Linking to our topic, we will be writing and performing our own poetry about rivers, before writing our first narrative of the year linked to our class book ‘The Explorer’.
Spring Term 2019 Rhino class’ topic for the new term is Romans, which began with our very enjoyable trip into Lincoln to learn about how we know they came to Lincoln. Throughout topic lessons we will be looking at how and why the Romans expanded their Empire, including which modern day countries they conquered. Through our English we will then be writing poetry and stories based around the Romans and some of their battles. It promises to be a very educational term!
