School Development Plan

Each year we reflect on our successes and areas we need to continue to develop. Everyone at school worked extremely hard last year to meet our targets within the School Development Plan with good results.
Our development plan this year focuses on ways we can develop our school further, teaching and learning and takes into account areas for improvement. The areas that we will be working on this year are:

-To further develop opportunities for children to communicate and develop a rich vocabulary and use of language

– To ensure a consistent approach to the teaching of phonics and early reading

– To continue the development of our whole school curriculum focussing on its implementation and the impact on all our learners

– To continue the development of the PSHE and RSE curriculum areas to meet the needs of the changing world in which our children are growing up

-To evaluate the impact of collective worship  and to develop the wider curriculum of character development: hope, aspiration and courageous advocacy

-To further develop the monitoring and evaluation role of subject leaders and the Governing Body.
